Notice Concerning Establishment of MIRA Dissolution Authority
The Connecticut State Legislature recently passed, and Governor Lamont has signed into law, Public Act No. 23-170 creating the MIRA Dissolution Authority (MDA) as successor in interest to the Materials Innovation and Recycling Authority (MIRA).
Please note that the headquarters of the Materials Innovation and Recycling Authority (MIRA) has moved. Effective March 6, 2023, MIRA's new address is:

Effective July 1, 2023, 300 Maxim Road, Hartford, became the headquarters of the MIRA Dissolution Authority.

For years, MIRAs facilities have striven to improve relations with our neighbors through innovative odor elimination technologies, state of the art emissions controls and other initiatives. Please make note of the MIRA TOWN Meeting scheduled for March 16, 2022 at 10A.M. (via Zoom).
The meeting is expected to be no more than an hour and will provide a status update on the transformation of the MIRA disposal operations from Hartford located Trash to renewable energy to export for disposal in landfills.
MIRA Management will be available to answer your questions, in particular inquiries regarding the proposed MSA amendment ( consideration requested by March 30) and inquiries regarding towns’ option to exit the Municipal services Agreement (opt-out window closes on March 28th).
