    MIRA Headquarters moving (2023)

Please note that the Headquarters of the Materials Innovation and Recycling Authority (MIRA) will be moving.  Effective March 6, 2023, our new address will be:

    300 Maxim Road
    Hartford, CT 06114

Please note that from March 3, 2023 until the start of business on March 6, 2023 MIRA staff will not have access to e-mail and there may be disruptions to our phone service as we transition to our new offices.

    Closure Plan

    Neighbors

IMG_banner_look-out-234For years, MIRAs facilities have striven to improve relations with our neighbors through innovative odor elimination technologies, state of the art emissions controls and other initiatives.  A family of bald eagles was sufficiently impressed with our efforts that they became our newest neighbors.  Click here for more information.

    Town Meeting

Please make note of the MIRA TOWN Meeting scheduled for March 16, 2022 at 10A.M. (via Zoom).

The meeting is expected to be no more than an hour and will provide a status update on the transformation of the MIRA disposal operations from Hartford located Trash to renewable energy to export for disposal in landfills.

MIRA Management will be available to answer your questions, in particular inquiries regarding the proposed MSA amendment ( consideration requested by March 30) and inquiries regarding towns’ option to exit the Municipal services Agreement (opt-out window closes on March 28th).
